Dr. Nunes earned her medical degree from the Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, followed by a residency in Pediatrics at the Universidade Federal de Ciências da Saúde de Porto Alegre and a fellowship at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul. She then pursued further training at McGill University, completing both a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship and a Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Scholar fellowship, alongside a Master of Science in Experimental Medicine. She is currently an attending neonatologist at the Saint John Regional Hospital in New Brunswick, Canada, and an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University. Program Coordinator
Jennie Ingalls is a Registered Respiratory Therapist and the Education Coordinator for Respiratory Therapy at Horizon Health Network. She has over a decade of experience in critical care and specializes in designing curricula and simulations, managing technology, and creating learning experiences that translate directly to bedside care.
She is an NRP Instructor Trainer, serves on the provincial and national NRP Steering Committees, and is pursuing her Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) designation. Jennie also holds a certificate in professional development and facilitation from St. Francis Xavier University. She is passionate about knowledge translation, interdisciplinary collaboration, and bridging education and clinical care to strengthen team performance.
