INSTRUCTOR & EDUCATOR SUPPORT

Instructors are welcome to join our monthly courses at the Saint John Regional Hospital.  

Observers do not participate as learners and are not required to complete pre-course exams. Participation allows educators to:

• Become familiar with NEST’s simulation-based course structure
• Observe hands-on skill stations and high-fidelity scenarios
• Learn structured debriefing approaches used in team-based simulation
• Exchange ideas with instructors from different disciplines and sites

Observers may attend on any scheduled course date; email us to coordinate.

NEST offers consultation and shared educational resources, including:

• Simulation case ideas and scenario design support 
• Approaches to structured debriefing
• Guidance on integrating simulation into local education programs
• Discussion of common challenges in NRP delivery at smaller/lower-volume sites
• Access to our course materials in a shared drive
   

Support is tailored to local needs and does not require formal course delivery.

For sites seeking additional instructional capacity or hands-on support, NEST instructors may collaborate on-site through:

• Co-delivery of NRP provider courses with local instructors
• Sharing simulation equipment and instructional expertise
• Delivery of NEST-led NRP provider courses hosted locally
   

These models are designed to complement existing local programs while supporting consistency and quality in course delivery.
